In this position you will be working within the Vattenfall IT organization based in Amsterdam. You will be part of the Agile IT department, focusing mainly on Customer Analytics.

As a Data Engineer in Customer Analytics your goal is to create the data infrastructure in a simple and efficient matter. You will design, build and integrate data from various sources. Writing complex queries that make data easily accessible, work smoothly while optimizing the performance of the company’s Big data ecosystem and many other analytical and data driven solutions.
Your stack will, amongst others, consist of Azure related services (i.e.: SQL Server, Azure tooling, Databricks, Spark). Data Engineers will work closely with our business partners in Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customer Solutions. Will you help them getting better insight in our customers’ demands? Feel energized? Who are you?
You have a hands-on mentality to solve complex issues and you feel personally committed to the goal setting and delivery of the team (local and international). You are keen to learn new tools in software development and you have an Agile mindset; a SCRUM way of working. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • You have several years of experience in software development with regards to data and BI solutions.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or comparable.
  • You are able to create data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Blob storage, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server.
  • You bring data science solutions to life using Python, Spark and SQL.
  • You have a drive to automate and to continuously improve.
  • You are familiar with CI, CD, testing and version control (e.g. Azure DevOps, ARM, GIT or similar).
  • You have basic knowledge of Linux, PowerShell and maintaining VMs.
